After watching this video, discuss some or all of the following as a family:
- Do you believe God is all-powerful? That is, do you believe God can do anything God wants to, even if it’s outside the laws of physics or biology? Why or why not?
- Why do you think bad things happen to good people? Is there a good explanation?
- How does God respond when bad things happen? Does God make everything better? Or does God respond in a different kind of way?
- If someone close to you had something bad happen to them, through no fault of their own, how would you explain it? What could you do for them?
- Say the following prayer or one of your own: Dear God, when we are hurting, remind us that you are with us. When others are suffering, help us to bring your comfort. Help us all to be instruments of your love to a world who needs it. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
