After watching the video discuss as a family or small group:
- The man in this video expresses concern and fear for himself and his neighbors. How do you relate to this video? Are there people you know who are living in fear today?
- Who are some people who are in need of help today? In what ways do you think God is calling us to serve those people?
- This week we are covering a well known parable in class: The Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37). It is a story about people passing by a man who needs help. But in the end, an unexpected person stops and goes above and beyond what he would be expected to do to help the man. Who are some unexpected people who have shown you love when you needed it?
- How does knowing the fact that God loves and cares for us call us to go and care for one another, even those different from us?
After your discussion, say the following prayer or one like it: Gracious God, when we feel unnoticed and afraid, remind us that you see and love us. Out of your great love for us, help us to go and love all our neighbors in need. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
