Children’s Choir to Present Lost Boy

Both Cherub Choir and Joyful Choristers have been working since January to prepare a musical that we will present on Sunday, May 3 at 9:00 am. On that day, 8:15 and 9:30 am worshipers are invited to worship together at 9 am to hear this special story, told through word, song, and dance!

The Lost Boy tells the story of Luke 2:39-52. Mary and Joseph lose track of twelve-year-old Jesus for three days, and when they finally find him, he is sitting in his “Father’s house”–demonstrating with his questions a great understanding of God. Within the musical is a reassuringly human message: even parents chosen by God can lose a child; even a perfect child can give his parents anxiety. The message is sure to comfort anyone who has ever been a parent, a child, or even those who have misplaced Jesus for a while.

Choirs have been molded and shaped by this story as we’ve discussed what it means to be lost. We hope you won’t miss the opportunity for us to share what we’ve learned!
