This year TLC will be partnering with the Bean Bag Food Program. This agency provides weekly deliveries of non-perishable foods to families receiving school breakfast and lunches to help feed them over the weekends every week of the school year. These summer bags will be delivered to families of Oak Park and Hatfield Elementary students right here in our neighborhood. We will be collecting until the end of July.
A reusable bag is preferred but paper bags or boxes can also be used. Feel free to partner to fill a bag.
Each bag should contain the following:
- Peanut butter and jelly, microwave mac and cheese
- Pudding OR fruit cups, juice box (6 to 8 pack)
- 6 pack of applesauce, cereal 12 ounces or larger
- 2 chicken or tuna salad kits, 2 cans of SpaghettiOs
- 2 Hormel ready-to-eat meals, 1 box of granola bars
- Goldfish crackers OR popcorn, box of fruit snacks
