Funeral Arrangements

We are created in the image of God, and are born in physical bodies that will one day die. While we mourn the loss of those whom we love, we also trust that death is a normal part of creation and that no matter when it comes, our death ushers us into eternal union with God.

When a loved one dies, please call the church office or Pastor Fritz,  at 215-368-1710 among the first calls you make. We want to support you in your loss. Pastor Fritz will meet with you and your family to discuss funeral or memorial service arrangements and to help you with any related details.

If a loved one is dying, we encourage you to let the church know so that we can provide pastoral care for both the one who is dying and their loved ones. Call the church office, 215-368-1710, at the time of death, too, especially if you are hoping to plan a funeral or memorial service at Trinity Lutheran.

Whether or not you require our help in planning a funeral service, we encourage you to let us know so that we can support and pray for you when you are grieving.

Hospitality

In times of loss, gathering with family and friends to share memories, offer support, and celebrate the life of a
loved one can be a vital part of the healing process.

Arrangements can be made for a luncheon or fellowship time following the service. Normally, a local caterer is used, and the congregation’s Funeral Reception Ministry Team hosts the event. The church office staff will connect you with our Hospitality Coordinator.

Memorials

Many people prefer to honor the life of the deceased with gifts given to charitable organizations rather than flowers. For information concerning gifts given to Trinity in honor or in memory of a loved one, please call the church office or speak to a pastor.
