Donate Seafarers Work Glove

On November  3, in the lobby, we will be collecting cash donations to provide sturdy work gloves for seafarers who deliver so much “stuff” we depend on to the Port of Philadelphia. Stuff includes but is not limited to: Rock salt from mines in Brazil, bananas and pineapples, Chilean grapes, Kia cars from South Korea, and asphalt and fertilizer. For 10 years I called on ships in the port. Many crewmembers are from milder climates, and the gloves, part of ditty bags given to crewmembers really help them work through our cold winter days.
