Bunny Bags (formerly Bunny Boxes)

The Christian Care Hub is in inviting your family or group, once again, to be part of our Lenten project, this year re-named, ”BUNNY BAGS!” This year, by providing reusable bags, we’re not only saving money but being environmentally responsible as well.

Food insecure families with students in the North Penn School District Elementary Schools, who rely on daily breakfast and lunch meals from the school, along with those in the Bean Bag Food Program and other social service agencies, will receive additional nutritional support during the district’s week-long Spring/Easter break. By filling a “Bunny Bag” with non-perishable foods that will allow for supplemental nutrition for these children, we will be doing God’s work in our community.

Pick up your Bunny Bag in the church lobby any time after Ash Wednesday, March 5, 2025, and return by Sunday, April 6th, for distribution to families by April 12th, when Spring Break begins. Instructions for filling are attached to the bag! Make this a family or group project. Work and plan together to show how sharing our resources can help another family who may be less fortunate. Proverbs 22:9 says, “Those who are generous are blessed, for they share their bread with the poor.”
