Gently-Used Musical Instrument Drive Gives New Opportunities to Eager Students 

Trinity’s Racial Justice and Justice Through Music ministries are seeking gently used musical instruments in support of Musicopia’s donation drive. Musicopia is a non-profit organization that repairs and refurbishes musical instruments for use by the children of the Philadelphia public schools. These donations will give children, who lack the resources to purchase or rent one of their own, the opportunity to learn and play an instrument. This statewide initiative has collected over 6,000 instruments and has operated in the Philadelphia region since 2002. Instruments accepted: brass/wind, guitar, keyboard, strings, percussion, full drum sets (adults), electronic keyboards. Not accepted: large instruments like pianos, console organs, accordions, toy drum sets, and sheet music. Instruments can be dropped off from September 15 through October 4 before worship services or during weekly business hours.
